Myself and Tom were lucky enough to be invited to try afternoon tea at The Lost and Found in Birmingham. I’m so grateful, we had an amazing time, and I’m so happy that we managed to get a visit in before lockdown.
For a start, the building is STUNNING – see for yourself. Their Birmingham location is very close to the train station and super easy to get to. You must pre-book for afternoon tea so make sure that you don’t miss out!
We both started with English Breakfast Tea (our favourite to accompany afternoon tea. I say that like we go every week – I wish! It’s just a real treat and our favourite special occasion food).
We also ordered a cocktail each. The Lost and Found functions as a cocktail bar as well as serving divine food and so their drink options are ENDLESS. Tom went for a gin, and I went for a Cherry Bakewell cocktail (so delicious).
I was blown away when the afternoon tea came out – it tasted just as perfectly as it looked. Everything was to tasty and delicate, the service was amazing, and everything was very safe and secure with strict Covid regulations that put me very much at ease. The Lost and Found are also doing takeaway options for anyone who doesn’t feel safe eating out!
We washed it down with an alcoholic tea drink (very very yummy and served so sweely in a teapot) and I had the most amazing time. Thank you so much to The Lost and Found and your wonderful staff – we’ll be back!
