You may have only just ever so slightly noticed that I’m like massively in love with this brand. This is probably like the tenth time that I’ve mentioned them – not sponsored at all, they’re just my skin saviours. The lovely Eireann from PR actually reached out to me after noticing all the attention that I’d been giving them (the blogging heavens have opened) and sent me over some goodies after I’d explained a little about my skin etc. It was so kind of them but as always my opinion is completely my own, I’ve raved about good old Doctor B from day one! They did also give me a discount code to give you all 20% off if you use ‘Sophie20’ –  you know me, any chance at a discount and I’m there.

For those of you who haven’t heard of Doctor Botanicals, as the name suggests, they’re an organic skincare brand based in England, who ship worldwide. For me the reason that their products work so well is because of how natural the ingredients are. I sound like a really bad sponsored skincare commercial (definitely not I swear) but I really do feel the difference.

Now, I won’t go into massive detail about the Pomegranate Noir Cream. I’ve mentioned this in EVERY skincare post, probably most in detail here. But this was sent as a really kind surprise add on, after the team noticed that I mentioned it a lot and so wanted to replenish it for me. It’s my favourite moisturiser and has been for well over a year now!

I’ve never really been a fan of skincare oils; I’ve always been dubious trying to wrap my head around putting oil onto oily skin, however since trying Pixi serums (reviews coming soon), I’ve realised that it isn’t the case at all. If I say “rose is my favourite scent” one more time I’m going to become a broken record, but this smells absolutely delicious and it’s packaged so beautifully, it looks really expensive and feels luxurious. According to their website it contains Vitamin C to stimulate collagen, Vitamin A to rejuvenate your skin and Almond Oil to nourish it. This is on the cheaper side of Dr Botanical’s products which I’m really pleasantly surprised by. I’ve been putting it on before doing my makeup, and it’s really lightweight and not greasy in the slightest. I’ve definitely noticed a glow after using it!

Again, like the oil I’ve never been a fan of scrubs I’ve always found them too harsh, but I’m actually a huge fan of this product. Firstly, it smells amazing, I mean it’s like stepping into a coffee house in New York City, amazing. It’s really soft and really does the job in exfoliating and cleaning out the skin. I’ve been using this once a week, and my skin feels a lot more fresh. Unlike other scrubs, it leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth, almost like baby skin.

I’ll be honest, this one took some getting used to. For a start it’s green, and if you’ve never had anything ‘hemp’ scented it’s unlike anything else I’ve ever smelt. Not that it isn’t nice – it’s really fresh and almost herby, but it’s really unique. Saying that, it’s now one of my favourite moisturisers. It really is so refreshing on the skin. Unlike the Moroccan rose and pomegranate noir creams which are gel like, all of the potted moisturisers are very much a cream substance, and so I think that they all make great day vs night creams to alternate. I was recommended this because it soothes the skin and I would definitely agree with it. Whilst it wouldn’t be my first choice compared to one’s like the rose moisturiser (yes I own probably 90% of their creams), I’m really glad that I got to try it and for anyone with problem skin I’d really advise giving it a go!

I’m really impressed with the prices of all of these products today. In previous reviews I’ve always mentioned that despite their products being really worth the money, it’s always been quite pricey and unaccessible to some people. £24 for a moisturiser is a lot, but the pot is a really good size and I’m 7 weeks in and I’ve barely made a dent into it. Again turmeric is something that I’ve never tried before. It was recommended to me because it’s an antioxidant which is meant to repair the skin, perfect for me because I’m prone to breakouts. I have to say that this moisturiser was an unexpected favourite for me out of the entire bunch. It really is completely soothing and moisturising, my boyfriend has even been using it too now and then. I will definitely find myself repurchasing this again. Dr Botanical’s has once again proved itself as top of the ladder for skincare, and my recommendations were perfect!

Has anyone tried any of these, or does anyone recommend any of their other products? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

All my love,

Soph x

I’ve never heard of this range before but this post is really informative. The products seem really affordable too so may have to give them a try!
